Apps that help with home workouts

Non-functioning health clubs, closed indoor and outdoor gyms, and the restriction of leaving the house make it more likely to exercise at home. Here are a few apps that will help during physical activity within the four walls.

Mobile technology that supports athletes collects data on physical activity, body work and suggests what workout will be most beneficial for the user. Apps for physically active people also become additional motivation to work out and build a sense of competition, such as sharing results with family or friends. Most of the apps are adapted to work on Android devices as well as iPhones.

Nike Training Club

The app is fully free and was created for individual workouts in the comfort of your home. The workout plans on offer include classes lasting several minutes as well as much longer and more demanding sets of exercises. The user selects the goal they want to achieve and the training conditions, after which the application independently selects the appropriate physical activity program. The added videos of workouts are accessible to everyone and easily present the proper technique of performing subsequent repetitions. The software allows you to track your progress, creates statistics and unlocks new challenges prepared by the app’s authors.

Freeletics

A large database of exercises, looped instructional videos, detailed explanation of the exercise technique and the ability to play the video frame by frame are the main advantages of Freeletics. The app is dedicated to people who want to commit to workouts for a long time. Using Freeletics is only possible after purchasing a subscription. The shortest offer is a 3-month contract which costs PLN 130. Half-yearly subscription costs 229 PLN, and an annual subscription costs 299 PLN. In terms of hours spent on training, this amount is not high, but the application requires the user to make a declaration at the beginning of its use.

7-minute Exercises

The system of short but intensive workouts is created especially for people who want to maintain regularity of physical activity but do not have much time for it. Each of the sets prepared in the application contains 12 different exercises. You don’t need any additional sports equipment to perform them. Half-minute series with a 10-second break are part of the circuit training.

Yoga for Beginners

Yoga for Beginners is the perfect app for those who want to start their adventure with the eastern art of controlling and stretching the whole body. The video tutorials on the platform are prepared by yoga experts and allow you to adjust the difficulty level to suit your ability. The app has preloaded calming music to accompany the exercises.
